I find that most of my Skin modifications are menu related and I have to make the same changes many times to each skin. I strongly believe that the navigation menu should be separate from each individual skin. One shouldn't have to go into each of the five or six skins and make the same changes to the menu! Instead, there should be a single "menu skin" that will work with all the other skins unless one chooses to turn it "off" in a particular skin (say, by commenting out the "include" command) and replace it with something else. |

What i'm using for the menu on nucleuscms.org (with menu, I mean everything what's on the left side of the page), is an <%include(menu.inc)%> skinvar that appears in all skinvars. I'm not sure yet if implementing a 'menu' skin would be a good idea: not everyone will probably use it, and it might confuse first time users even more _________________ Wouter Demuynck http://karma.nucleuscms.org/ |
