The NP_RollingCopyright plugin adds successive copyright years to your Nucleus blog or CMS. When you install NP_RollingCopyright, it shows only the current year: © 2011 by Your Name. The following January 1, the output will appear similarly to this: © 2011 - 2012 by Your Name. By downloading RollingCopyright, you will never again have to manually update your copyright dates for a new year. (If your blog has been running for years and you instead use your original install year, it will immediately show a range of copyright years.) After downloading, use Edit Options for your install year and your name or the name of your blog. There is also an option for additional text such as "all rights reserved". Then add <%RollingCopyright%> to your footer or elsewhere in your skin and you're done. Edit: This works well with multiple blogs on the same installation. I use phpinclude in the footer to do the same thing. Many ways to skin a cat... This is great for those not comfortable with code or who prefer to manage things through plugins. TCC, if you haven't found them yet, check out the blogoption methods in the PLUGIN class. _________________ Is your question not solved yet? We could use this here... The front page says 2001 - 2006, the wiki says 2001 - 2005, FAQ, 2001 - 2007, and none at all for the forum. _________________ My Skins | Suncook Carpentry |

NP_RollingCopyright works on multiple installs. I had included footer information in one larger site using phpinclude, and therefore the Nucleus software did not parse <%RollingCopyright%>. After working through why the plugin didn't work, I realized this and changed the include to a parsedinclude. Problem solved. (And plug-in page is being updated.) Along the way I spent time looking through BlogOptions as Frank suggested. This may help me with a different plugin I've been looking at developing. Thank you. |

We're now using this plugin in the footer of the main nucleus site, docs, faq, and skins. Thanks, TCC. (and WillyP for the suggestion of using it). _________________ Is your question not solved yet? It is gratifying to see the RollingCopyright plugin used through the Nucleus site. The opportunity to give back is appreciated. |
