I've added about 40 new plugin events in the admin area, mostly Pre/PostDelete and Pre/PostAdd events

I'm not going to list them all here. Instead, I'm pointing to the updated plugin devdocs (link to latest CVS version)

In those docs, I also colorcoded the parameters now, so it's more clear which are passed by reference/by value, and which are objects

Damned cvs @ sourceforge is down.
But 40 events! Kewl. This way we can write a complete rework of the backside of nucleus as well.
Can't wait till sourceforge is up again...

Thanks Karma!

Fantastic ! you have covered pretty much everything Smile

One small doubt from a very brief reading of the docs : For the blogsettings, membersettings or generalsettings, Shouldnt there be a call after the settings have been updated ? A call like PostBlogSettingsUpdate or something like that, which we can hook into and get the values of the variables we have created ?

And what about a categorysettings call ? Since everything else is there, you might as well put this one as well Smile

Anyway, fantastic work ( as always ).

My head is already reeling with the possibilities Wink

For the moved events, can you give the source as well as the destination ? I know, I can get the source in the pre Call by looking up the corresponding stuff for the itemid but still it would be easier if it is explicitly given.

The thing is, at the moment where I generate the MoveItem events, I don't have that info either (since I don't need it).

Actually, the blogsettings, membersettings and generalsettings events are not inside the form itself. The consequence of that, is that you'll need to add your own forms and data-handlers.

I don't feel fully satisfied with this solution, to be honest, but I think it offers more power than stuffing everything into one big form

I think it's a good solution, maybe I'll come up with an form generator that is easily integrated with plugins, that way we get rid of the disadvantages (more work for the plugin developers when maintaining their own forms) and keep the advantages, one form per plugin and highly configurable settings forms.
Hopefully i'll get this one done.
