Hi all,
As of August 2008 (see #1), the PHP team is no longer supporting PHP4. For this reason, the NucleusCMS team believes it is time for the project to move to PHP5 as well.
Hereby, we are announcing that v3.40 will be the last version to officially support PHP4. For future releases, there will be no guarantee that NucleusCMS will function properly on any PHP4 environment. All users are strongly advised to upgrade to PHP5.
The current NucleusCMS code base might continue to function on a PHP4 environment. But, as development continues, the code will start to utilize PHP5 specific behaviour and function. At that point, NucleusCMS will stop working under PHP4. For those still running in a PHP4 environment, please take these next few months to investigate moving to PHP5. Most hosting services now offer PHP5, and NucleusCMS has been working with PHP5 since versions 3.2x. The upgrade to PHP5 should be a straightforward one for most users.

We probably have not been diligent about marking deprecated things. Good suggestion.
