I removed the video and replaced it with a link. Do you need me to put the video back in? I am using the BB code plugin that allows YouTube videos in comments.

You Tube videos

When someone posts a YouTube video in the comments, the video appears in the lastest comments sidebar at the same full size.

Is there anyway to either have it not appear or better yet appear at a reduced size that will nicely fit in the sidebar?

Unable to edit - Strange error message

I tried revising my most recent post from two different computers on two different networks and I get the following error message: Forbidden You don't have permission to access /blog/nucleus/index.php on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDoc...

I see the test comments you have added. I have no problem, the comment always get added. However, if I double click the Submit button, I do get the action does not exist message above the comment box, but page loads fine and comment gets added. I am suddenly able to add them now. Odd. Any theories ...

Are you getting that error when you go to the page, or when you add a comment?

When I add a comment.

I just tried it from Chrome and it won't let me add a comment at all as a member.

Just added comments no problem using chrome and getting to the page as a member from both the title link and the # of comments link. Source code of the commentform looks fine in all cases. I just can't duplicate it. Thanks for trying. How odd. I just tried it again. If I am logged on as a member an...

I can't imagine why it would matter how they load the page. Are the links different (apart from the #nucleus_cf? If you look at the source of each page (loaded from title or loaded from the number of comments), is the comment form different at all? I don't understand it either. Every upgrade, I go ...

Every time I upgrade, I go through this problem. Now, I have fixed it following these steps in all cases except one. If a logged in member accesses the comment page by clicking on the number of comments and then tries to comment, there is an error message of Required action does not exist The error ...

ANSI is Western (ISO-8859-1) also. You may have a problem with whitespace in a plugin before the opening tag (<?php or <?) or after the close tag (?>). It would cause the same issue. If all your plugin files are in ANSI, then whitespace (including newlines) is likely the issue. Again, I'd be happy ...

ftruscot wrote:Hey, tlucente and Wild Soundscape, have you found the offending plugin(s) and fixed this?

No, I haven't. Notepad ++ tells me all my plugins are encoded ANSI. And I can't find ANSI encoding in my browser to conduct the test you suggested.

You'll need a good text editor like notepad++. It will show the encoding in bottom right of window and you can convert to utf-8 without bom from the encoding menu. OK, I am not getting it. I opened every plugin file and they are all encoded ANSI. So I converted every one to utf-8 without bom and up...

PakTrik let me onto his site and I found the problem. It ended up being an character encoding issue with some of the plugin files. A few plugin files were encoded as UTF-8 which puts a BOM character at the beginning of the file. This BOM character gets output (though may be invisible in the site is...

Could it be a php problem? Perhaps the php file that handles this needs replaced. Though I think that would give an error message in the log.

So it's before the redirect and somewhere in the processing. Very odd. Does it only happen on plugin changes. Or do you have the problem on other pages in the admin area? Like what if you move a plugin up or down? Or edit your General Settings (Configuration)? No, I have only encountered it on the ...

If the plugin gets deleted correctly, there isn't much left in the code apart from the redirect.

I've looked around and found a thread with your problem, but it never came to a solution. I'm pretty sure it got solved, but I can't find how. I'll check over the code for when you install or uninstall a plugin and see if there is a likely culprit. Would be nice if there were web server error logs....
